Cet article tente d'identifier de quel côté de la route un vélo roule actuellement à l'aide d'une caméra commune pour réaliser un système de navigation de vélo avancé et un système d'assistance à la sécurité de la conduite à vélo. Pour identifier la zone de chaussée, la méthode proposée effectue une segmentation sémantique sur une image de caméra frontale capturée par un enregistreur de vélo ou un smartphone. Si la zone de la chaussée s'étend du centre de l'image vers la droite, le cycliste roule sur le côté gauche de la chaussée (c'est-à-dire la position de conduite correcte au Japon).
