Cet article présente une méthode d'estimation de canal assistée par pilote qui est particulièrement adaptée à l'utilisation partielle du mode sous-canal sur la liaison descendante WiMAX 802.16e mobile. Sur la base de ce mode, plusieurs méthodes d'estimation de canal couramment utilisées sont étudiées et la méthode d'ajustement par la ligne des moindres carrés est proposée. Étant donné que les données des utilisateurs sont distribuées sur des groupes permutés de sous-porteuses dans le symbole OFDMA transmis, la méthode d'estimation de canal proposée utilise ces avantages pour offrir de meilleures performances que les approches conventionnelles tout en offrant une complexité de mise en œuvre pratique remarquablement faible. Les résultats de simulation avec différents canaux ITU pour les environnements mobiles montrent qu'en fonction des situations, une amélioration de 5 dB ou plus en termes de SNR peut être obtenue.

Abstract: This paper presents a pilot-aided channel estimation method which is particularly suitable for mobile WiMAX 802.16e Downlink Partial Usage of Subchannel mode. Based on this mode, several commonly used channel estimation methods are studied and the method of least squares line fitting is proposed. As data of users are distributed onto permuted clusters of subcarriers in the transmitted OFDMA symbol, the proposed channel estimation method utilizes these advantages to provide better performance than conventional approaches while offering remarkably low complexity in practical implementation. Simulation results with different ITU-channels for mobile environments show that depending on situations, enhancement of 5 dB or more in term of SNR can be achieved.
